How capstone help differs by field
The word "capstone" covers very different projects, so we match you with a coach who knows your kind.
Nursing and health
Usually an evidence-based practice or quality improvement project built on a PICOT question. We help you frame the question, appraise the evidence, and plan implementation and evaluation in a way your faculty and clinical site will accept.
Business and management
Often a consulting brief for a real or case organisation. Coaching focuses on scoping the problem, choosing the right analytical frameworks and turning analysis into recommendations that follow from the evidence.
Engineering and computing
The build is yours; the report is often where marks are lost. We help you document requirements, design decisions, testing and reflection clearly.
Education and social sciences
Typically a small applied study or programme evaluation, closer to a short thesis. Here our methodology chapter help is often useful alongside capstone coaching.
A typical path from idea to submission
- Scope it. We read the rubric with you and test your topic against it: is it narrow enough, is data accessible and can it be done in one term?
- Propose it. You draft the proposal; we give feedback on the problem statement, objectives and plan.
- Ground it. We help you build a focused review of evidence and choose methods that fit the time you have.
- Do it. While you collect data or build, short check-ins keep the schedule honest.
- Write it up. We review your draft section by section against the marking criteria.
- Present it. We give feedback on your slides or poster and run a practice Q&A.
You can join at any step. Many students first contact us at step five, and that is fine.
Problems we help untangle
- A topic so broad it would take a year, or so narrow there is nothing to say
- A placement or client organisation that changed the brief halfway through
- Data that came back thinner than expected, and a report that now has to be honest about it
- Group capstones where sections written by different people don't fit together
- A final report that describes what was done but never evaluates it
If your data needs analysing, our statistics help team can explain and check the analysis with you so you can present it confidently.
Getting started
Send us your programme, the capstone brief and rubric, your deadline and whatever you already have, whether that is a topic idea or a full draft. We reply with a free quote within a few hours. Feedback on a draft section usually comes back in two to four working days, and urgent turnarounds are often possible near deadlines.
For ongoing coaching across a whole term, we agree a schedule of sessions and draft reviews at the start, so you know exactly when feedback will arrive and can plan your writing around it. If your programme has its own rules about outside help, tell us and we will work within them.
Coaching is the point, not a limitation
A capstone exists to show that you can apply what you have learned on your own. Coaching respects that and makes it achievable: you get an experienced second pair of eyes at every stage, and you finish knowing your project well enough to present it and answer questions about it. That matters more than it seems. Capstones are often discussed in job interviews, and being able to explain your own work in depth is a real advantage. Our wider approach is explained on the how it works page.
What you get
- A kickoff session to scope your topic against the rubric and timeline
- A milestone plan that maps each required section to a date
- Written feedback on your proposal, literature and method sections
- Draft review of the full report, with comments tied to your marking criteria
- Feedback on your final presentation or poster slides
- A last-pass edit for clarity, referencing and formatting on your own text
What we don't do
- Our capstone help is coaching and feedback; the project, data and report are your own work
- We can't liaise with your placement site, client organisation or instructor on your behalf
- We don't guarantee a grade, but we make sure you understand exactly what the rubric rewards
